It would be nice if you could add a little element to each mockup that:
a) always prints today's date and time. This behavior would not be editable
b) provides a version counter that the user could increment by 1 by clicking a + symbol (or reverse the action by clicking a - minus)
Of course I mocked it up...

Inappropriate?Hi there, how about just adding a {now} tag to the paragraph of text and label components? Those controls would always replace "{now}" with the current date and time. A little more hidden, but requires no new UI (which I like). Also more flexible.
Thoughts?
I’m thankful

That sounds like good solution to me.
I later realized that in the mockup above, I forgot to show the time, which is often interesting as well. So my suggestion is to replace the {now} tag with "date + time", ie "Monday, August 10 2009 13:17".
Apologies for the late reply, I had last week off :-)
