After leaving full screen mode, the notebook is displayed despite it being shut off...
1. Create a mockup
2. Toggle off the notebook background (View>Show Notebook)
3. Add a UI component
4. Go to full screen mode
5. Escape out of full screen mode
Note that the UI notebook reappears....

Hi tomr, sorry about that. I've been fighting with a pesky "local cookie" issue for a while...thread here: http://gsfn.us/t/1ar4 - you may be hitting the same bug. Can you please confirm that your bug doesn't have to do with full-screen? It will help me know where to start my investigation.
