Consistent control of colors
Have a standard set of color options to set the foreground (text) and background colors.
For example, at the moment some of the text-related controls exhibit this behavior:
* Text Input: No color editing.
* Label: Color sets forground (text) color.
* Text area: Color sets background color.
* Paragraph of Text: Color sets forground (text) color.
The ability to set the border color would be good too.

Inappropriate?Yeah, I agree. I think it would be extremely useful if all controls supported setting of colors. For example, buttons right now do not have any color support.

Inappropriate?Hi there. Multiline buttons have a background color. I don't want to add options (i.e.buttons) to the application unless they are absolutely necessary...I believe simplicity trumps consistency in this case. I hope you'll understand.

Inappropriate?I disagree that, in this case, simplicity should trump consistency.
Because of the lack of consistency the colour manipulation of objects is not simple for the end user. It is difficult to remember what colour options are available for any given control - especially if its a control you don't use as often. Even if you do remember, the functionality that you require is often unavailable which is more than a little frustrating - I can't begin to tell you how many times I've wanted to differentiate text or background in some way where the specific control didn't provide this functionality, or set the border colour of some objects and I've only been using the application for a few weeks.
Collectively, these issues do result in a rather poor user experience - rather ironic for a tool used by user experience professionals.

Inappropriate? For a text box, it would be useful to control both the border and the text color.
