Export All to PNG isn't working
I love love love Balsamiq, but why can't I export multiple mockups to png? App crashes every time, well hangs up really and progress bar spins into infinity. Fix? I'm on version 1.6.23.
I’m anxious. Really miss this feature.

Inappropriate?This happens when you do an export all snapshots when you have a "new mockup" open.
Closing the "New Mockup" will allow you to export the snapshots correctly.

Inappropriate?Well no its not a fix, but it does 2 things. 1) gives you a workaround while waiting for a fix 2) gives the nice folks at balsamiq a better steer when looking to create the fix. ;)
Its a bug I found, worked out what was required to recreate and was going to create a new report for. Better to add to your existing report than for me to create a duplicate. (Can you tell I'm a software developer? ;))1 Comment Add a comment

Inappropriate?Hi guys, so I was only able to reproduce the issue when trying to export a _completely empty_ mockup. Is that what you're seeing? Anyways, I fixed the empty mockup bug and posted a build here: http://www.balsamiq.com/products/mock...

Just tried it and that seems to work nicely. The only thing I noticed was that it said that it was exporting 11 mockups (10 + the blank) and then obviously it only exported the 10 as you would expect. I wouldn't expect the blank to be exported, but should the export message say its exporting the 10 "saved" mockups?1 Comment Add a comment

Wait didn't the dialog show up for you? It should list all the paths that got successfully exported.

Inappropriate?Sorry - yes. The final dialog does list all the paths, which would show the 10 completed exports. Its the initial dialog, the one shown in the screenie on this topic, that shows that 11 mockups are being exported.1 Comment Add a comment

Ahh, yes. I'm afraid I can't fix that, I don't know that a mockup will be empty until I try to export it. Maybe I should say "trying to export 11 mockups"...or maybe leave it alone since it's such a small edge case... :)

Inappropriate?fine by me. It was merely a passing comment and I suspected that you wouldn't know until you try to read in the bmml that it was empty.

Inappropriate?Just reporting this problem as well.
If there is one empty "new mockup" and you select the "Export all snapshots" function, then the export will hang indefinitely on the modal screen saying "Exporting N mockups".
The only way out is quitting the app. Not a big problem if you know about it, but it had me puzzled for a bit, wondering why the export would take so long.
Using 1.6.23 for Desktop on WinXP.
