Inspector should auto-move away from my controls
The inspector should auto-move away from the control I am trying to edit. Currently if the inspector is located in the same place where I am drawing or entering text, I have to drag the inspector out of the way before I can edit the control. This really slows me down and I constantly have newbies who get frustrated with the inspector always being in the wrong place, popping up over the controls they are working on.

Inappropriate?I wonder if the inspector can be more ribbon UI or dashboard that is banked to the bottom or top and only shows when a control is selected. -
Inappropriate?IMHO the property inspector should have a permanent place, like the collapsable / expandable inspectors in adobe's dreamweaver on the right hand side. it's really tedious that the inspector overlays the ui elements. by using this approach, also the UI Library could become a permanent place in the marginal column instead of the horizontal position. also, it would be more felxible to extend the application with additional modules in the marginal column.

Hi Oliver, the inspector will remember where you last placed it, or at least it should. So if you place it lower-right, or middle-right, it might not be in the way as much. I have tried several algorithms (it took months) for the placement, and the current one is the 'least annoying' one. I don't like the idea of giving it its own space as it takes away precious pixels from the only UI that matters, which is the one you are working on. -
Inappropriate?I'm frustrated with the inspector positioning. It does not remember where I placed it. I move it to the right-hand side to be out of the way, and it reappears on the left hand side. Is this a bug?
