Linking blue boxes & arrows overwhelming?

Hi,

I've just started using the linking feature extensively and I'm finding the way the linking feature changes what the page looks like in full screen mode to be overwhelmingly off-putting - especially when I have lots of linked items on the page.

Would it be possible to have an option that allowed for this rendering to be invisible in full screen mode? (i.e to not change the look in any way in full screen view) but to still keep the hotspots (i.e so the arrow still turns to a hand in full screen)
