New linking feature - links not active?
Having some trouble with the new linking feature. Inconsistent appearance of the big hand pointer in Full Screen Presentation mode on linked items. The big hand doesn't appear at all for linked headers in an accordion panel. Maybe I did it wrong?

Inappropriate?Hmm, that's very strange, it all works here...what's your screen resolution? Does your mockup have scrollbars when you're not in full-screen?
-
Inappropriate?Ok, I was able to reproduce the bug. Next up, fixing it!
-
Inappropriate?Getting similar issues. Whenever I use left arrow getting a message that the bnml can't be found. Also whenever I click a link it opens ANOTHER copy of the file that I see open when I exit full screen. So if I click the link several times back and forth, I end up with 3-4 copies of the same file open in Mockups.

I haven't gotten the multi-loading issue to happen over here. What's your OS and what's the full path to the file that's loading multiple times? -
Yeah, I get this too. WindowsXP. However, it's not consistent. Sometimes it happens and others it doesn't. I'll try to nail it down. -
Ok, I have reproduced this bug:
I have two mockups that link to each other to illustrate accordion behavior. They both exist in the same directory.
I open both in Balsamiq mockups and make the first tab current.
I enter full screen mode.
I click on a link that links to the file in the second tab.
I exit full screen mode and there are now two tabs of the mockup to which my link pointed.
I re-enter fullscreen
I click on the link that takes me to the original mockup (first tab)
I ESC to edit mode and see that I now have two of these tabs.
Full path to both files is: The file C:\Documents and Settings\ilowe\My Documents\projects\Client\usability\Commercial Site -
Thanks Ian, I was able to make it happen on XP as well and I am working on a fix. -
Inappropriate?Hi guys, I just checked in a fix for all of these issues (I hope). The new build is in the oven, should be ready in 5-10 minutes.

Inappropriate?Ok, 1.6.3 is live, come and get it! http://www.balsamiq.com/products/mock... - please let me know if it fixes your issues, and thank you so much for reporting the issues so quickly and kindly.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Huzzah! My links are working.
However, I'm experiencing the same issue someone else mentioned with arrow keys opening duplicates of the bmml files, and the left arrow key resulting in an error about the file not being found. No biggie for me at the moment though.

Hi Lain, thanks for verifying the fix. As for the duplicate mockups being opened, what's your OS and what's the full path to the file that's being loaded multiple times? Also, what's the full path of the file that's not loading? I suspect these should be easy fixes. -
Inappropriate? The multiple opening issue is happening on my XP box. On my Mac it is not happening.
-
Inappropriate?Ok everyone, 1.6.4 is out and should fix both the "multiple loading" issue and the "left arrow" issue on XP. Let me know what you think!

Inappropriate?Tested here too, working great!
Peldi amazes us again!
I always preach to my teams that problems happen, what is important is how you respond. Peldi seems to have already learned this lesson very well. -
Inappropriate?Glad to hear, thanks guys. I apologize for the initial poor quality, and am very thankful for your patient and invaluable help in helping me solve the issues. Onward!

Inappropriate?Hi,
Balsamiq newbie here :^) Please tell me if I've missed something.
I have found that if the control that contains the links is locked, then the links aren't active in View Presentation (even though they are rendered as links).
Unlocking them solves the problem but I lock such things as tab bars in place so that they don't move.
Is it possible to set the presentation to ignore the fact that the controls are locked so that the links still work. -
Hi Colin, I am working on that bug just this morning! I'll post here when I have a fix to test. Thanks for reporting it! -
Inappropriate?Hi everyone, I just fixed the "locked items don't link" bug, would you mind giving it a try here http://www.balsamiq.com/products/mock... before I merge the fix into the main branch on Tue?
