Text "wrap" option for overlapping elements
It'd be awesome if text in a paragraph was able to wrap around any visible elements "above" it (or at least certain block elements).
See the image below. Ideally, Mockups would perhaps offer and option in the Element Inspector called "wrap" which would cause the text to flow around the Rectangle/Canvas since it is "on top" of the Paragraph.

Inappropriate?Uuh, Beau...that would indeed be a great feature...incredibly hard to implement though...I'll add it to the list, but I can't promise it will be done quickly.
-
Inappropriate?yeah - nice to have, but probably a big deal to implement. Why would something like this be needed for a mockup?
-
It just makes for a better looking wireframe when you have a block of content (generated lorem ipsum) with an image or other block positioned to one side but overlapping. This is very common with web pages that are content driven (blogs, news, etc). No big deal if it's hard to to implement, just thought I'd throw it up here as an idea since I came across it when I was building a wireframe yesterday. -
Inappropriate? Why not use the import image feature for something like this special case?
-
Inappropriate?Well I don't really see it as much of a special case - it's a very common thing on websites, especially news/blogs as I mentioned.
e.g. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081230/a... - you can't do that wrapping of the body copy around the left bar (scroll down a bit to see it).
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/30/nyr... has embedded content blocks left and right in the main content.
It'd just be nice to be able to easily portray these sorts of things in a wireframe without resorting to "hacks".
-
Inappropriate?Yup, definitely would be a good idea. I used to make my mockups in Fireworks, and this is one of the major annoyances I had with it.
I have absolutely no idea how you'd implement it, though :-)
I’m hopeful
