Unable to start Balsamiq Desktop on Ubuntu
I've just purchased and installed Balsamiq Desktop, I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 x64. Its created an icon under Applications -> Accessories called "Balsamiq Mockups".
1. I installed the application from here:

- it installed Adobe AIR, everything appeared to work ok
2. I click on the icon under Applications -> Accessories
3. My cursor goes to a busy cursor
4. I see an icon+title for a window appear on the taskbar labeled "Starting Balsamiq Mockups"
5. I don't see a window
6. After 5-10s that icon+title disappears from the taskbar, and nothing else happens, the application never opens
I expected a window to appear with the application in it.
any ideas?

Inappropriate?Hello Alex, that doesn't sound right. I've never heard of this before, and it could be an AIR issue. Does any other Adobe AIR application work on your system? Does Mockups create a log file in ~/.appdata/BalsamiqMockupsForDesktop.#numbers#/Local Store ? If so, could you maybe email it to me at peldi@balsamiq.com

Yes, Balsamiq did create a log file in that folder, but I renamed it to ".old", then re-attempted to start Balsamiq, and no new log file was created.
I'll email it anyways though.
