Obama's intelligence chief supports torture and spying
John Brennan, Obama's intelligence chief supports torture, expanding FISA, and expanding the Patriot Act.
One of the biggest stains left by the Bush administration is the violation of human and civil rights. John Brennan supports the C.I.A.’s interrogation and detention program. He also believes in giving telcoms immunity for illegal spying on Americans. The Wall Street Journal reported that "President-elect Barack Obama is unlikely to radically overhaul controversial Bush administration intelligence policies, advisers say, an approach that is almost certain to create tension within the Democratic Party."
We need to speak out that we will not tolerate this abuse any longer!

Inappropriate?I'm not sure it's accurate that Brennan is an "intelligence chief", and I'd be extremely skeptical of the WSJ's coverage of anyone to the left of Lieberman.
It looks like Brennan does advise Obama on intelligence matters, and Brennan doesn't look like any sort of change I'm looking for. He also supported Bush's warrantless surveillance of everything any American does on the phone or Internet. Brennan=more of the same, and that is BAD.
But there's a difference between listening to what Brennan has to say and appointing him to Homeland Security or something (shudder!). I like that Obama intends to listen to other viewpoints, so long as he only acts on ideas that are right.
