What Can I Do to Help?
Now that you are the President-Elect, I want to know what I can, personally, do to help you make this country awesome.

Inappropriate?Instead of a car, use public transport. Use a bike to most places! Go Green!
I’m happy
-
I definitely already do that. Got rid of my car 3.5 years ago. I want to know how I can empower OTHERS to be heroes. ;) -
I use public transit in Los Angeles/Pasadena for work. It's good to go green; especially when that green is cash in my pocket. Follow me on: twitter.com/gesses -
Inappropriate? How about encouraging kids to finish high school and head to college? Sad to see so many kids drop out. Maybe a cool off school counsellor kind of stuff.
I’m happy

I'm taking a stab at that, too, with http://www.herocamp.net - I want to get deeply involved. ;) -
Inappropriate?looked @herocamp.net! Cool.

Inappropriate?I want specifics on the sacrifices we can make from our President-Elect's perspective, bucketed into different areas: finance/economy, education, environment, etc.
I think there's some basics: increase the amount that is put into your savings account each month, live within your means, take public transportation where possible, shop local, buy made in the USA, pay attention to key local initiatives, attend a school board (or other governmental meeting), reduce your electricity needs.
Where's the wiki already?
To be clear, I think that most of these efforts need to come from the populace itself, but in his nomination speech, Barack made note that he expected sacrifices, so I want to hear what those are too.
I’m hopeful

GREAT idea! -
best advice to date! -
Inappropriate?I am more interested in public transportation in the west. That too in the valley. And solar power can be used in homes for lighting. Though CA is way ahead in that. And people need to exercise a lot. Obesity is a disease. And eat more greens! Dedicate at the least 30 minutes for workout!

Have you been to TransitCampBayArea? ;) I've run that, too: http://barcamp.org/TransitCampBayArea -
Inappropriate?I am not in USA at the moment. Working in South East and Far East Asia!
