Cannot establish connection
Hi,
I have a communication problem.
I have installed the Discover application on the iPod Touch 2. It gives me the IP address and the port which I try to connect with browser but it does not work by saying that "can't establish a connection to the server at 192.168.1.3:8888". I've pinged the address and crosschecked in WiFi settings and it is correct. Trying to telnet to the :8888 port does not work either. On the other hand application's indicator is green (probably meaning that the port was bound by the application). Using client does not work either (since it's just a browser wrapper) So are there security settings that I may need to set? Or something else?

Use safari, open bookmarks, click bonjour, you will find the iPhone there. You will get a nice webinterface. Big drawback is you can only upload one file at a time. -
Inappropriate?Thanks for your questions! We updated the new version of Discover to fix it. But apple didnt approve it until today... Maybe two or three days more you will have it! Thanks!

Inappropriate?After 2 hours of trying everything, I am not able to communicate between my PC and my iPod Touch. Instructions are lacking and disorganized. Even at a price of $ 0.00 this app is over priced and not ready for public release since it appears a lot of people have trouble getting it to work.

Inappropriate?I downloaded this app yesterday and it works great when I am at my house. When I tried to access it when I am at work, it fails to connect. We have tried messing around with the browser options and proxy settings. We can ping the device but no telnet or connection. Something is not set right for certain wifi connections. I use Windows XP and IE at both home and office.
If I cant get this to work at the office, this app is pretty much useless. Hope someone can help! -
