disable wifi access
Hi, when i am in a public wlan (internet café) and want to watch a pdf on discover, discover opens this http server, so everyone with a packet sniffer could just try to get onto my iphone seeing my iphones name, that i have discover on it, upload files to my public space etc. this seems to be a big security issue for me and renders the app unusable in public wlans. please add a option for disabling the wifi access. why would you upload data anyway when you're watching a pdf ?

Inappropriate?You can upload your pdf files in the private folder instead of public folder. Private folder is under the password protection and others in the same wifi cafe can not visit your files. Thanks.1 Comment

i HAVE my files in the private folder. this stil doesnt solve the problem that while watching a pdf others can upload files in my public folder and that they see my iPhones name and that having always a open http server is not a good idea (just imagine they found a bug in your code). the only solution i found is to disable wifi in iPhones options, kinda ugly dont you think? -
Inappropriate?Yes we will consider this option in next version. Btw, you can leave a readme text file in the public folder to let others know your statements as well as your warning of it. :)
Btw, your iphone is absolutely safe in this situation and they can not do anything else except leaving you some notes they have or the similar ebooks you are reading....
