Inappropriate?Wireless file sharing with Discover looks great .... but, my ambition is to use the iphone 3G(V2.2) to receive emails as I travel & transfer any one of the attachments to a PC/Notebook without using the internet. The reason for this arrangement is that for temporary access to internet data (@hotels etc.) is v.expensive in Australia. I could get a wireless broadband data plan but I have this function with my Iphone & I do not want to pay for plans which have duplicate functionality. Previously I had used a Nokia N6120 as a modem with a small data plan to achieve this result, but have upgraded to iphone and lost the modem function for file transfer (directly as an email) onto the Notebook.
Any suggestions ?? -

After some further research I have found PCnow @ http://pcnow.webex.com/MyWebExWeb/MyW...
this may provide a solution for some people who have a similar need but you will appreciate it is not quite what I have explained above, I plan to kick off a free trial and initiate a separte blog which may be of interest to others. If it is a good as it sounds then we have some vast opportunities for "citrix" type server applications from a home server.
