Wifi problem, USB cable transfer would be great
Hello,
Discover is good, well done! However our office wifi does not allow me to connect for security reasons (different subnets). It would therefore be great if their was an option to transfer files via the USB cable instead. e.g. the desktop client could show if an iPhone is connected via USB.
For files that iTunes won't let me sync, e.g. an .iso image, I can transfer them over USB using the open source software iPhoneBrowser, which is available for free from http://code.google.com/p/iphonebrowser/ .
Using iPhoneBrowser I can drop my file into the 999APPLE folder for example and then I can see it on the iPhone with your Discover app. This works fine but it would work even better if the iPhoneBrowser type functionality was built into your desktop client. If you did this you would definately have the best file transfer app for the iPhone (I've tried a few of the others).
What do you reckon?

Inappropriate? Thanks a lot for your kind advice. We definitely will consider your suggestion and hopefully Discover will support the cable soon! We let will let you know when it is ready!

Inappropriate?I don't have WiFi at work, cable access to the stuff on my iPhone would be brilliant! And I could be charging the battery at the same time!
Now that would be a feature I'd pay for. -
Inappropriate?Do you have bluetooth support in your computer or laptop?
-
Inappropriate? No, I don't have bluetooth support in my PC.

Inappropriate?Just download Disk Aid for free to your computer @(http://www.digidna.net/diskaid/downlo...)
install and connect your iphone or ipod touch. You can use disk aid and put it in the DCIM folder then view it using discover, it enables your iphone/ipod touch to work as a portable drive without jail breaking.
It worked fine for a while until mr white screen of death showed up ( running on 2.2 firmware). Waiting for a solution from Discover. Really have to thank all the developers for this wonderful software.
