Let me control BBC iPlayer with my Mac remote
I understand that a native Mac client is due to be released shortly. I'd love to be able to control iPlayer using the small remote control that comes with the iMac and which can be purchased separately. A Safari/ Firefox plugin to make this work with the online iPlayer would be particularly appreciated!

Inappropriate?I'm not sure how extensible Front Row is (and how it can interact with your DRM), but adding iPlayer programmes to the menu would be fantastic.
By default the videos are stored in the Movies folder and therefore accessible via the Front Row menu, but the format is not recognised (except for the channel idents).

Inappropriate?@thelem Apple apparently don't allow developers to add/modify the fronrow facility; however other developers have created their own frontrow style programs (for instance, elgato TV).
The easiest method might be, as you said, to make the movie files available/readable from the movies folder.
I’m undecided

Guess this wouldn't work with the Adobe Air DRM though. Sigh. -
Inappropriate? As of last last week, there is now quite a simple way of doing this.
If you were to install Boxee on your Mac / Apple TV and connect it up to your telly, you could access BBC iPlayer from within Boxee and control playback with your Mac remote. Works a treat.
But I should add that Boxee have built in support for BBC iPlayer off their own backs without any official involvement from the BBC (as far as I know), so the BBC can't offer support.
