The BBC iPlayer team should allow users to watch live BBC channels on the iPhone over WiFi.

You can now watch pretty much all the BBC channels on the iPlayer website when using a Mac/PC, but it would be great if you could do the same on the iPhone. I understand that doing this over 3G may not be possible at the moment due to bandwidth constraints, but there is no reason that this couldn't be done over WiFi.
