Why won't iPlayer let me watch content through my xbox 360?
Is there any way I can stream/play downloaded iPlayer programmes through my Xbox 360 to my HD TV? Right now I'm simply using a trusty s-video cable to link my laptop to my TV, but an easier solution would be fantastic.
If not xbox, how about Windows Media Center? Any tips/hints/tricks greatly appreciated.

Inappropriate? If you can install XBMC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XBMC) then this plugin will allow you to browse and watch content from iPlayer: http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-iplayer/.
You can definitely install XBMC on the orginal Xbox but not sure if you can on the 360.
Ps. As far as I know, neither XBMC or the plugin are officially sanctioned or endorsed by the BBC.
I’m conflicted

Inappropriate?i doubt this will be allowed/endorsed by either parties untill a deal is struck between MS and BBC to use the service. In the USA xbox 360 users can already use services such as NETflix to rent movies... but there all parties are getting revenue, where as with iplayer, where would Microsoft see the money making opportunity without taking licence fees?
I’m sad

Inappropriate? If you set your Xbox 360 up with Windows Media Extender and your Vista machine, you can just add the BBC iPlayer download folder to what the folders the XBox 360 can access. Don't forget you need to select Windows Media Player download option, not the main Download option.
