What Subversion clients do you recommend, if any?
I'm new to Subversion and I do find it quite intimidating to have to run console commands. I downloaded SmartSVN to give it a try. What do you recommend for use with Beanstalk?

This is a great question and probably the hardest starting point for Subversion.
I can recommend some Subversion clients:
svnX

Textmate has a Subversion bundle (we use this at Wildbit)
http://macromates.com/
SmartSVN is also nice

For Windows, the best option is TortoiseSVN

You will first need to install Subversion if you are on OS X. Here are two links that should help.

If you have any additional questions, please ask.
