Why no Deployment ?
I'm currently using springloops for versionning.
It's pretty cool but Beanstalk seem reallyy awesome (what a design!).
Unfortunately it seem that i can't deploy my app on my server.
Why don't you provide this service ?
Thanks for your answer :)

Inappropriate?Yes, we will have manual and automated FTP/SFTP deployment.
-
Inappropriate?You've winned a new client I think :)
-
Inappropriate?:) Let us release it first, then you can decide if it fits.
Also, if you don't mind, we are gathering feedback about this feature to refine the UI and the process. Could you email support@beanstalkapp.com and tell us how you currently use the deployment tools? Any problems or requests?
Thanks,
Chris -
Inappropriate?Hi, deployment sounds awesome! I'm pretty new to working with SVN but having used it on a big project where I could upload a whole project via FTP is awesome!

Inappropriate? This feature is way behind, but is currently in beta on several accounts. We need some more help testing, so if anyone is interested please let us know. Email your account name to support and we will enable it for you.
Thanks! -
Inappropriate?I've been using the beta. When it works, it's awesome. When the kinks are ironed out, I think people are going to love it.

Inappropriate?Do you or will you support svn:externals?

Inappropriate? It would be interesting to think about possibly working on a more typical API as well.
I have a number of sites that I work on where the code being deployed would actually go to a database record instead of a file on the server. It would be nice if when a file is committed I could have that file sent to my server as XML data or something like that where it could then be immediately placed into the database as opposed to having a server script periodically check a folder and then do some sort of import. One would be much more immediate.
Not necessarily something I have to have. But it would be a nice deployment option. -
