Inappropriate? How can I use this feature? Using this, can one "assign (maybe at creation itself)" Transactions to Multiple Categories? For example: Gas Expenditure, which comes under General Gas Expenditure as well as Office or Home Gas Expenditure.
I’m excited

Inappropriate? An addendum to clarify, my query request :-)
It will be great to be able to assignt multiple categories, seperated by a comma in the add transations dialogue, as well as being able to drag and drop (with ctrl key for copy) transactions from one Budget to another. Thanks.

Chach,
Unfortunately you can't assign a transaction to multiple categories. I'm not sure why you'd need to do that anyways!
The "Split" feature will let you take one large transaction. An imported transaction, or large receipt total, etc. Then let you go through and split amounts off of that single amount.
I hope that explains everything for you! -
Inappropriate? Thanks for the explanation! I need to rephrase my query :-): Will it be possible to tag the transactions with multiple virtual labels? For example: I might have category Travel - Personal, and another one Travel - Work but might want to see the Travel - Personal and Travel - Home expences combined, for say a specefic trip with my colleagues. Then I can tag these particular expences with tags like colleages, special trip etc., and view them in together in virtual categories later.
Thanks a lot!
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Budgety works more similarly to an envelope system, as opposed to a tagging system.
Your money is spent on an item, that item should go into 1 category of spending only. If you have an item that costs $1.00, you can't spend $1.00 from your "Fast Food" budget AND $1.00 from your Restaurants budget.
I hope that makes sense! -
Inappropriate? It sure does! Envelope system really does make life easier! However, I often come across situations, when I have to deal with budgetry provisions made in the past, which might have fitted more than one envelope/label or when I want to see the spendings from a different perspective. An optional tagging system will help looking at the budget from different perspectives, without interfering with the envelopes themselves.
Thanks again.
I’m happy
