Inappropriate?Unfortunately, not at this time. Since it has to make a call to the database every time you create, or edit, or complete a task, or do many other operations, you must be connected to the Internet for it to work properly.
It is definitely an idea for future implementation. The concept of Taskr is to enable you to manage your tasks from nearly any Internet enabled device.

Is there a plan for a Google Gears or Adobe Air implementation on the iPhone/iPod Touch? That might be a potential solution.
However, I have heard that developing on the iPhone is quite enjoyable (though I personally have never developed a desktop app). It might not be too difficult to develop a desktop app that syncs with the online app. -
