What are some of the most important things for a task manager?
In the building of Taskr, I've tried to design it to be dead simple, yet effective at allowing you to simply add tasks. What are some ideas that you might have regarding how a task manager should work?

Inappropriate? The task manager is OK (haven't used it much yet) BUT the log-in procedure is a real pain! Why have you adopted the approach you have - does it have any advantages over a basic log-in? Anyway, Taskr is for me unusable as the application does not stay open in my browser. For example, GMail stays open and accessible for many days without the need to re-login; I need this from Taskr for it to be worthwhile. I hope you can implement this immediately as there are no other workable task managers for the iPhone that I have found.
Thanks, David.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I personally don't own an iPhone, however, I've done a bit of research and found that they accept "cookies", just like any normal browser.
Cookies are a way for Taskr to say "Hey! I know who you are!" when you visit Taskr multiple times. I agree that the login process can be tedious, since if you don't do anything on Taskr for an hour, it will automatically log you out.
I will fix that as soon as possible! It might be early next week, since I'm on holiday this week. Thank you though, for your suggestion, and I'll write back here once it's fixed.
I’m thoughtful

Inappropriate?OK, that would be great. Then I will start using Taskr and let you know of any further suggestions. Since it's a To Do list there is nothing particularly sensitive there (at least in my case) so a once a week login would do it for me.
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate?Sorry for taking so long to complete this, but it should be done. Now, whenever you visit Taskr, you will stay logged on until you've been inactive for a full week. Thanks for you patience!

Inappropriate?I understand that one of the key design points is to have a simple and easy to use application. But, in my case, for several years I've managed my tasks with Outlook+Palm and now I depend on fields notes/category/due date for each task.
I'm switching to iPhone and I found this webapp as a great task management alternative, but I would like this to have:
1. Use of an extended set of fields, maybe as an advanced configurable mode.
2. Outlook Synch, or at least an open API to program tailored plugins
Are these requirementes feasible?
Thanks,
Juan
I’m undecided

Inappropriate?Hey Juan,
For your first feature request, that was actually part of the original design thought, but was scrapped early on. The focus of Taskr is to do two things. Let you add tasks, and let you check them off as complete. With that as the fundamental goal, Taskr was built. However, in the future, I would like to continue adding features so that is a possible one for the future.
An API on the other hand, is a definite must-have and work will begin on that as soon as possible. This would let developers create custom scripts or applications to do almost anything, including syncing between Outlook or any other task management application!
Thanks for your interest!

Inappropriate?I love the simplicity of this app. Don't make it any more complex without making a way for users to use it in its current simplicity.
Things that are "musts" for me:
- Speed. This thing has to be blazing fast on Edge for iPhone.
- Persistent Login.
I need to have as many obstacles removed for a task manager to actually work for me. If I have to log in, or wait for any unreasonable amount of time, it's useless. More fields are also useless to me (right now).
One thing that might be nice is to be able to allow other users to see your tasks and add tasks to your list and vice/versa.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?"Speed. This thing has to be blazing fast on Edge for iPhone."
That's something that I'm looking at addressing. Currently, whenever you add a new task, or mark one as complete, it has to make a call back to the server and wait for a reply. I'll be looking at making the entire thing to where it will handle everything on the users end, while asynchronously talking to the server behind the scenes.
"Persistent Login. If I have to log in, or wait for any unreasonable amount of time, it's useless."
There was an issue that was occurring during the initial release of Taskr that was causing users to have to log in every time. This issue should be fixed though. It should keep you logged into your account unless you are inactive for an entire week. Please let me know if this is not the case for you!
I’m slightly concerned
