The Dreamspell calendar is a calendar which uses symbols and names *like* the mayan calendar, but gives them new meanings. It works like this -
The Maya used a Universe calendar, not a galactic or planetary calendar - so when dreamspell uses the "day out of time" and follows a lunar cycle, it is not using a universal rhythm, but a solar one. Also, if the energies in the universe are vital, we cannot be without them, and we ARE those energies -- how can a day have no energy?
Then, to top it all off, the calendar dreamspell uses is started on a different day, and that day even changes more and more when a "day out of time" happens. All in all, the dreamspell calendar is a totally different calendar.
