Yep. For some reason it seem that after the upgrade sort order does not work. this is very very important feature as you want always to put your best sellers first.

Also it would be nice to be able to control what is in the sort drop down and in what order.

Been asking BC to let us control the order of products on the homepage featured products for one year. Went 'round and 'round with them, explaining why it was important....nothing. And trust me, there is no workaround....believe me, I tried!

You can create your own custom product display panel for your homepage, with the products you choose, displayed how you want, in the order you want. But you must create this panel yourself in html, and if decide you want to change the products displayed, you must go in and change the code...can't do anything from the backend.

Ugh. Even Miva, another, terrible ecommerce solution, had some sort of custom sort feature. It was a pain in the denim to do, but at least you could do it! BigCommerce might pale Miva on most fronts but something as basic as custom product assortment should have been there from day 1.

This feature needs to be added pronto.

I cannot figure this out? I # every product and yet they do not show by sort order? Also, default sort is featured, well, my featured show up at bottom of page, not first items to show????? Please help.

If you are referring to the products on the home page, you can't sort them. They will display in random order each time. You can only sort products on the category pages.
