Helpin people to remember which week is recycling colection

People are seemingly unable to remember which week is for recycling and which for burnable garden waste collection — despite calendars etc given out.

Has anybody got an idea to stop paper being left out on the wrong weeks and blowing everywhere?

Pedestrian crossings on Poplar Rd roundabout, Kings Heath Last reply on May 09, 2008 19:22.

The roundabout joining Poplar, Valentine, School, Cambridge and Springfield roads has traffic issues. During rush hour and school run times it gets very busy and can be dangerous for pedestrians, not to mention school children from Kings Heath Primary. It's a busy pedestrian route linking the residential area of south Moseley with Kings Heath High Street and buses into town.

My idea is to paint pedestrian crossings across each road as it enters the roundabout giving pedestrians default right of way as they around. This would slow traffic down and make the route safer.

Open Wifi in the libraries Last reply on May 15, 2008 14:23.

How about open wifi in the libraries? Central library at least where they already have queues for the dozens of PCs and spare reading desks with power sockets.
