iStat Menus 2: Removing/Adding items to 'Active Items' leaves blank artefacts

After rearranging some items for the menu, network in this case, there is a gap before the icon and text that wont go away, an artefact from adding and removing. Illustrated in the image. It is showing the same gap in the menu bar. I am unable to drag out or remove these items.
