partial payment tracking pain

I like blinksale, but with the economy, my main client is having to make partial payments.

I realize this is an invoicing system and not an accounting system, but tracking this stuff is a serious pain. It would be great to be able to record payments against a client's balance, instead of only being able to mark an invoice paid or not.
