iPhone app needed pronto!
Can see myself blip'ing as I walk out of the theater. Hopefully this is in the works.

I absolutely agree! I think this is the excuse I need to get my wife to let me get an iPhone! *grin*
To be serious, though, we want to get one hooked up as soon as we can. It may be a bit while we nail down our other feature set, though. However, once we expose our write API, it should open the doors for a third party to write an iPhone app if we don't get to it quickly enough.
I’m excited!

Inappropriate?Yeah, I just had lunch with a friend who didn't really "get" blipper. He asked "Is there a button yet?" meaning a button for his iPod Touch. He said if there was a "button" he'd be all over it.
No excuse needed - you need the phone for research and debugging!
I’m happy

Inappropriate? It wouldn't even have to be an app. A well designed version of the site that loads automatically for mobile Safari could be both cheaper and easier to develop. (i.e. Hahlo vs Twitteriffic)

The SDK for the iPhone makes it so easy to do something like this that there's no excuse not to make it an app. -
Inappropriate?Absolutely. Blippr has mobile integration written all over it. Reviews would quadruple in quantity if a nice mobile app existed.

Well that was certainly a waste of time... -
Inappropriate?Dangit!
I was so excited when I got the alert in my Inbox this morning...hrrmmmm...oh well - still waiting!

Inappropriate?Wow, the feedback on this idea is incredible! Since all of you are iPhone users/lovers, we would love for your personal take on what you would like to see in the app. In our opinion, simple is better--we would like for the app to remain focused and helpful--but what that exactly represents, we would love to know what your take is. Don't be shy. Email jc @ the name of our website .com.

Inappropriate? Is there any progress on this? I didn't hear back after sending quite a wordy email.
In other news: I now have a MacBook, so once the API appears I might try my hand at creating an app.

Dan, our apologies for not getting back to you. Not sure how we missed your email!
In regards to progress on this piece, there still hasn't been much, unfortunately, though it is high on our priority list. We only have one developer, so much of our focus to date has been on developing the site, optimizing performance, and other pieces that are more mandatory than an iPhone app. Though as an iPhone user, I can tell you that I myself am salivating for one.
Sorry again about not getting back to you sooner. Once we have a write version of the API we would love to talk with you about the development of an app. Thanks so much for your interest! We truly do appreciate it. -
Inappropriate? While we still don't have a native app (sadness!) there is a mobile-friendly version of blippr live now. Just hit www.blippr.com in Safari on your iPhone and blip to your heart's content.

Thanks for this! The Blippr web version, while not an über-cool native app, still does the main stuff well (recording blips quickly). I like it. -
Inappropriate?Just tried this out for the first time. It's really great, nicely simplistic, and hopefully will have me blipping more stuff, more often now. Even moved it up to page #2 on my iPhone.
Thanks for your work on this.
I’m happy
