Five suggestions to improve BIAR
Some suggestions:
1. There should be a Login link too, not just Sign Up, on the home page.
2. OpenID login should be remembered, logging in again and again is no fun.
3. Some kind of progress indicator must be there when saving "Add Before Thought" text.
4. Can't click the first result immediately; I have to go down to second result and then come back to the first result to make it clickable.
5. An additional state to indicate "I have temporarily stopped reading this book but will pick it up soon" rather than just the "Give Up" option that indicates, "I have totally given it up and have no current plans to pick it up in the near future"? (already posted this in another thread)
Thanks, I love this web app.

Inappropriate?thanks for the ideas.
1. As of now the signup and login pages are the same so which link is there might be a little confusing but doesn't really make a different. I think I will be adding a normal password and login so more changes might be coming on that front.
2. Right now BAIR puts no cookie data on your PC. But it's a good idea to try and keep people logged in and I'll work towards that.
3. Has it taken a long time to save the before and after thoughts? I was working to make them work superfast but perhaps for some people they are still slow. I could add some sort of waiting animation but it would really have no relation to how the save process is going.
4. The book search results are still a little buggy. I need to overhaul it in many ways like letting people see more results. This fix in coming.
5. The biggest fights are going to be over book flow. Currently the site is modeled off of how I read books. Several people have asked for a similar "pause" type feature to the reading flow. There are two things I worry about. First that I don't want to over complicate anything. Second I'm not sure the best way to approach the technology and how track state in the database. But as soon as I think of an awesome way of doing it then I will be sure to add it.
Thanks for the feedback and feel free to drop me a line any time.

Inappropriate?Thanks for the reply.
1. In that case perhaps the hyperlink text can read "Login/Signup". Just a suggestion.
3. Perhaps the textbox/save button can be disabled immediately as soon as "Save" is clicked?
I do love the simplicity of BIAR; for me it is the USP of the service over all the others.
I’m thankful

2. That makes sense... You can keep clicking it though.. it doesn't make a difference.
