I find myself clicking "I have finished" from the book page after editing the properties, meaning to return to the main reading list, not necessarily to mark the book as finished. Maybe a link next to the "edit properties" to "return to reading list" would be nice? (I know you can find it if you hover on the backpack, but for me that wasn't intuitive, and I only found it accidentally.)
(Nice work, by the way. Can't tell you how glad I am to have found Books I Am Reading--been keeping a list in my PIM because none of the other "book" sites like LibraryThing or Shelfari met my needs. Thanks for making it.)

Inappropriate?I do think there needs to be a universal way to go from a books a person is reading to their reading list. This is especially difficult if you are looking at some one else's reading list.
But if you are looking at your own books you do not need to go in to the menu on top. Simply click the backpack as your reading list is now your personal homepage for the site.
