Ignore "The" at the beginning of movie titles.
Currently movies starting with the word "The" (The Shawshank Redemption) are sorted to the "T" section. It makes a lot more sense to me to go to the "S" section (for Shawshank) instead. I've looked for movies confused several times before going "...ooohhh it starts with The".

I think you were looking at the wrong item, I don't see this one tagged as implimented. -
Roofus: type in "ignore "the" title" in the getsatisfaction search and it comes up with this thread and says "implemented" -
I don't see implemented anywhere. Not sure where you are seeing it. -
Inappropriate?Still don't see it, I see it on other topics, but not this one. I even browsed the list manually and didn't see it. But I do wish it would actually be implimented.

Aha! So that's the ask a question, as opposed to the search box on the right hand side of the page. Looks like a getsatisfaction bug, because the actual item itself is not marked as implemented. -
You're right. I see it too. -
Inappropriate?will be fixed.

Inappropriate?IT's common practice to name file with the following format;
Shawshank Redemption, The (1994)
That would be the best was from my point of view.
Then display the boxee identified name in the list, but use the true file sort order -
Inappropriate?I like the iTunes system (ignoring 'The' at the beginning when sorting) better.
-
Inappropriate?yeah, if you want to name all your files that way, cool, but i think it would be much better for boxee to handle this. i agree with breun.
