Support for iTunes/iPhoto sharing protocols (DAAP/DPAP) and Windows Media Connect (WMC)
If Boxee could access shared music/photos on the network using the common iTunes/iPhoto protocols you would have a truly winning experience on the AppleTV.
I know I can exit Boxee and get these from the main aTV menus... but why leave Boxee if I don't have to (read: ever!).
I love Boxee and the new release today with even more Internet streaming options (Netflix/MTV), but access to shared iTunes libraries is more important to me then last.fm/hulu, etc (even though I do use those services).
I don't use Windows but I understand Windows Media Connect (WMC) is comparable and should be considered as well... but please, iTunes first.
Additional comments:
- Screen saver based on iPhoto library
- Would be sweet if I could add individual iTunes playlists as favorites for easy access from the main music screen

Inappropriate?I would really like to have iPhoto integration where i could read my shared iPhoto library on my Mac from the ATV where I run Boxee.

Inappropriate?Automatic file synchronization between main Macintosh computer and the Boxee Mac is what I really want including all relevant files (iPhoto, iTunes nad possibly iMoovie, iCal, Addressbook).
So the main computer must NOT be turned on for Boxee to it's magic.

That would be something else than what this is about. For sending relevant files you could use ssh or rsync or whatever to send the files. I don't think that type of file management is what boxee is all about.
Boxee is more about streaming and sharing over the LAN/internet. -
Inappropriate?I like the idea then at least hulu users could use a wmc plugin for the hulu desktop app so you don't have to exit boxee to hulu it up.
