Purchased five licenses and after upgrading 2008.8.12.233 all five of my bought licenses return this message: "Invalid Key: Keygen Detected" I can't get out of trial mode. I have also tried uninstalling/reinstalling and all the other keys result in the same. Thanks for any help!
I purchased five copies of VENM Console and received keys for it. I installed and registered my copy that I use and when I click the "Update Available!" link at the top it says: "Your free upgrade period has expired. You may need to purchase a new license to bring the new version out of trial mode." I look at Help and About and can see my product key there and it says free upgrades for 237 days. I am a bit confused. Is my key invalid?
Would be nice to have useful Icons representing different devices in the network like a Printer, IP Cameras, Server, Router, etc... Is there a way to change Icon Representaions? Also would be nice to have the Icons as a type field so you can sort by type.
I have just recently updated my version of venm console and now i have lost all of my groups of computers and group settings ip range etc. i tried to do the restore from several different dates and nothing seems to happen.
When i click the upgrade button under help it tells me i have 300 days left but when i click the activate link it asks me to add my acctivation code (is that normal?)
Just installed 2008.8.12.233. Deploying with UltraVNC 104 to XPP workstation.
This workstation has been connected in past with 2006 version and UltraVNC.
> c:\temp\custom.cmd exited on XXXXXX with error code -1073741510.

Five others XPP workstations are taking the deployment OK. This one has failed. Any suggestions
I am trying to run a script on the remote user’s machine, I am trying to save time by pushing out some new office templates to over 200 computers here.
I have run into a problem:
The command I am using is:
copy "\\rrs5501\Software\RS Word templates\*.dot" "%userprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates\"
pause
Now when I do this I see that the script is using my employee id # rather than the user that is currently signed on.
If I go into preferences of vncscan --> security/identify, and remove my ID/password/domain... I run the script and see that in the cmd window I get an access denied.
Any way I can run a script on the remote using the %userprofile% command and have it pick up the current user rather then pick on my info?
I upgraded from 2008.1.28 to 2008.8.12 (did the recommended uninstall first). After doing the upgrade it reports the correct serial number and key on the loading screen, but if you go to Help -> About a .Net exception is thrown (conversion from string to double error above).
Changes from base install:
groups.xml is in a network folder
profiles are in a network folder
PsExec is set rather than BeyondExec
application is installed in default location

This program would be more complete if you added a field that would pull Windows computer network description information from the My computer properties Network name tab and display it next to the host name inside VNCscan. We rely on the computer description field to identify computer locations not the host name because computers will move around a lot so we don’t want to change hostnames with a computer relocation just the description info. We could use the comment field however it would be statically added and not very dynamic. You could also have a column that would discover Asset tag/ serial number and that would send it over the top.
Thumbnails not working - I have tried a couple of times to get the thumbnails working and gave up after a few minutes of troubleshooting. I checked the site for info and made sure there were no firewalls in the way. I also ran the simpleworkstationssetup I'm positive i have full administratorive rights over the workstations but i still get the Please Wait and it never shows the Screenshots of the desktops... i checked the old forums for any more info but it seemed limited on that subject. Any other ideas i could try?
Since upgrading to 2008.6.16.220 I now get an error every time I try to connect to an RDP client. I get System Runtime Class not registered in first error box (can't cut and paste it!) and next error box says "Error RDP version too low. You need latest service packs". I'm running XP SP2 with all latest service packs and patches as of 18th June - last time I updated!). Any idea what's going on?
BeyonExecV2.exe is suddenly considered as W32.Stration@mm virus by Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition. Recently updated to VENM Console v 2008.7.8.228. Is it infected or is it Symantec being paranoid?
Security Request. Can you add a password to be able to launch the application? After setting this up there is actually a ton of information stored in this app. Thanks!
