Why don't most remote scripts work? I want to run a command on the remote machine. I type it into the remote script field, save the script, and run the script on a computer through VNCScan. Nothing. Black CMD window pops up and goes away. Nothing happened. Some scripts work (e.g. the shutdown command), others do nothing. What am I doing wrong?
I want to tell the remote computer to run an executable on the network. It works flawlessly if it is typed into the "Run" dialog box, or from a command prompt. No matter what I try, it will nut run through VNCScan's Remote script tool.
When attempting to open Windows Management Console on a remote computer nothing happens. No error is reported. When I attempt to View Installed Software it comes back with System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

I am also unable to view remote processes.
However, I am able to see the VNC Version, Ping, and see who is logged on.
I am using Vista SP1 with Console 2009.4.23.280.
I would love to have the OU-trees...
My suggestion for solution:
1) each managed group with import and refresh computers from OU
(browse for OU would be slick)
2) Tie an MAC-address to each computer and let it stick until unmatch
There might be a list of MAC-addressess (wireless,cable,old nic,etc).
3) Now I can know for sure that all my AD-computers will be in the list and check
for whatever I need to check and I can also see (as now) all other
networkaddresses that I want to monitor!
4) Then please add an option to automaticly run AD-discover (new and changed
computernames) In each managed group.
5 And also add an option to automaticly run Discover Tied MAC-addresses
in each managed group.
Prefferable a warning-icon added to each computer with newly
discoverd MAC-addresses.
6) In each computerproperties: List with untied MAC-addresses, mark one, click
button "TIE".
SPIN OFF:

I would like to have multiple admins using this tool but want to share the database of groups, configuration etc. What's the best way to go about this?
I ran a remote script against a group of computers this morning, afterwhich the computer objects in the VENM folder disappeared. I restored a very recent backup of data using the VENM backup manager menu, but the computers still are not showing up. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
When setting up a new profile in the VNC deployment Wizard there is a selection box for MS Authentication. Here you can enter the allowed user names or groups. Where is this information stored on the remote computer? I want to change the allowed group without repushing VNC or changing the VNC password.
RDP Session doesnt notice when I change the resolution of my monitor, grey area around the session stays constant but the session doesnt move within the window, so part of the screen is then off to the right (off screen).
How do I configure the Active Directory scanner to use the fully qualified domain name for computers? We have a child domain and none of the computers are resolving to IPs.
THIS SUCKS!!!!!!!!! I just spent a bunch of time crafting my question so all information was clearly supplied. So then I follow the directions and try one of the topics, which sucked, too, and when I returned, MY ENTIRE QUESTION IS GONE!!!!!!!!!!! This is the second time today from different parts of your organization that I have lost work. My license expires in <30 days.
All I want is an answer: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))
I seem to be having problems editing profiles for ULTRAVNC deployment, but If I create a new one from scratch the preferences will change otherwise they do not.
Now I find I have a number of deployment profiles that I want to remove. How do I do that.
I have a network of 4 XP ( Home and Pro ) machines and just installed VNCscan on my "Admin" machine. VNCscan does not see any "VNC" on any pc's even though I have UltraVNC Server running on all of them.
