BeyondExec Login Problems
So when I try and execute a remote script, or the restart / shutdown commands (or try and use the "get processes" or "system information"... anything to do with accessing the remote computer), when it asks for a login, I enter the details and it just fails.. it continues to ask me for the log in details (Resetting the username to Guest (which is fine), and not logging in).
I'm using UltraVNC on the remote pc, which works great :)
Now, I've not been using this for very long, so it's possible I'm just missing something obvious. There's probably some things I have to set up on the remote computer.. but any suggestions would be mighty handy :)

Inappropriate?Have you set a Windows username/password in the group properties for remotely running scripts and such on the remote computer?
Also, it could be that the remote computer is set to use simple file sharing, and therefore forcing all connections to authenticate as "guest". -
Inappropriate? Thanks for the speedy reply :), that's probably the problem... with not actually working with any remote windows logging in and such before, I've not had a clue how to set any of this up so I've been playing with random remote desktop and terminal services settings.. so I actually don't think it's set up correctly on said remote computer.
I did look to the site for an explanation on this, but it was lacking this part of the setting up remote scripting :P.
I'll play around with the file sharing thing (although not entirely sure where to start) and give it a go.. any more info would be great.
Thanks again
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Ok, sweet so I turned off simple file sharing, and the shutdown command works great, looks like the scripts are working a treat too :P Thanks, might be worth sticking that on the FAQ or the "Execute Scripts Remotely" support page :)
I’m happy
