Frequent Product Updates
Do the frequent updates add to or take away from the value of the VNCScan product?
I know that some people like a lot of quick updates so that they don't have to wait months for their bug to be corrected or feature to be implemented while others would rather not see the update notifications as often.
Your input is greatly appreciated!

Inappropriate?I don't...If we had to backup and completely uninstall and then re-install vncscan then maybe but the update is downloaded quickly and installed on top of the existing version without uninstalling first. Great job Steve.

That use to be the case and I think that was when we saw the most negative feedback about the frequent updates.
Now that we have the new installer, upgrading is pretty painless. -
Inappropriate?I think the updates are wonderful. I agree, my feeling would be different if it was a more involved process.
Thank you Steve!!!
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Quick updates to problems are great, visible release notes on the home page would be great. If I know that there's a feature or fix I need I'll install right away, otherwise I'll wait for another sunny day ;{)

Inappropriate?Like the fact that it's a simple process, so frequent updates not a problem for us.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Usually I don't like when products update quickly, but in this case, you've been adding a lot of new features and bug fixes, so the fast update cycle is appreciated. As long as the update process is fairly simple and quick it's not a problem.
The big thing for me is that I like to see what is in an update before I install it, so the online release notes are important. If an update fixes a bug that I'm not experiencing, I'm inclined to skip it, but I do install most updates. You didn't post notes for the latest version.
I noticed today that a 7/8 version was posted, but my 6.25.225 version didn't notify me of the change. Is that due to the revised webpage?
I’m thankful

Yea, things are in motion here and that's making things move a bit out of order. The release notes have been updated, now, on the new site. -
Inappropriate?I almost like it when updates are somewhat silent.
Like with anti-virus programs, I much prefer to see "Virus database was updated to version 1.0.5.0, Sun, 13th Jul" rather than "There are new virus definitions, do you want to update?"..
But then, how do you decide whether it's something people want to be auto-updated on or something that they may want to keep as an old version. -
Inappropriate?Frequent updates are appreciated. You have made them easy to install and not having to wait months for bug fixes is a good thing.
