How to avoid the MS Windows XP random error dialogue "vncmanxp.exe"
The product in evaluation works well.
However, I regularly get an MS Windows error dialogue with title "vncmanxp.exe", indicating that this program hat a problem and must be stoped.
Any idea where does it comes from ?
The evaluation is done under Windows XP.

Inappropriate? What is the interval that you had it taking snapshots at when this happens?
Also, what operating systems are involved? -
Steve,
The interval was 30 seconds.
OS is Windows XP (SP2).

That's strange. Is this hust happening on one computer or is it multiple computers? Also, what version of VNCScan is being used? -
I use the last version of VNCScan (trial).
It is happening on multiple computers, and I do not see any repetitive scheme in the error occuring sequence.
Is it possible that it comes from the VNC application that is used ? I do not know what vncmanxp.exe does, it does not appear as a process in the process monitor... -
Steve, do you need any more information in order to help me solve this issue ? -
Inappropriate?vncmanxp is responsible to taking remote screen captures while in thumbnail view. The error is likely generated when the service starts and is being blocked by desktop security software. Are you running anything on those machines that may think that it's malware due to it's activity?

Hi Ihave the same problem/
I have 4 XP control computers over 28 App computers running ultravnc from your site.
Is it possible to control the same computer from different remote computers running vncscan? -
Inappropriate?Which problem are you having, Gil? You are able to remote control the same computer from multiple consoles as long as you set the "Always Shared" option for the server: http://screencast.com/t/g1n3vMukhd

Jean Hi
I'm experiencing the same problem with the vncmanxp.exe.Did you resolve the problem? -
Inappropriate?if you download http://www.vncscan.com/VncManXP.exe and replace the existing one in the "C:\Program Files\Bozteck\VNCScan Console .NET" folder, does the problem go away?
-
Hi Steve
I replaced the file. Now the screen capture dosn't work and the error still come out. -
Inappropriate?Ok, try this ... Download and upgrade to http://www.bozteck.com/VNCScan.2009.1... and try again. I fixed a couple of possible causes in this release.
I’m confident
