Inappropriate? That is part of the tool used to obtain the remote screen captures. Your antivirus software is trapping it as a false positive. Some antivirus softwares flag remote screen capture tools because it could be a bad thing if someone was trying to monitor your system without your knowledge.
Unfortunately, the only way around this is to make an exclusion in your antivirus software for that file.

Inappropriate? Thanks a lot, seems as though that wasn't the issue, I had an exception made for it already but something has happened to my AntiVirus server that caused all my exceptions to go away. So Thanks!!
I’m silly

Inappropriate?I have a system with this problem as well and I have no idea how your software got install on it. What is the name of the program and how can it be removed?

Inappropriate? The scrserv.exe and VNC software are both freeware tools used by a lot of software. Unless you are on a network where your system is managed by an administrator, it's not likely to have been put there by VNCScan.
Is it currently running on your system right now? I know how it works so I can help you get rid of it. This isn't something that you want on your system without your knowledge.
It is designed to allow Network Administrators to remotely capture desktops on the network. Used by the wrong people, it could be a serious privacy concern.
It was likely put on your system by this tool: http://tinyurl.com/58dv83
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Hi, I've started searching regarding this issue as I have also started having this problem since installing the Bozteck VNC Scan Console.
Steve are you saying that Bozteck didn't install it onto the PC along with the actual console software?
As soon as I start the software up, there is a constant string of Symantec Endpoint Protection Notifications, saying that c:\documents and settings\username.domain\local settings\temp\remotepcname\scrserv.exe has been detected and cleaned. As far as I can tell these folders in the temp directory are being used to store screenshots of the remote computers that are being monitored under the thumbnails tab.
How do I add this as an exception, as the location is constantly changing and I can't find the scrserv.exe file anywhere in the bozteck installation folder.
Any help would be fantastic, thanks. -
Inappropriate?I had this very same problem yesterday with Symantec End Point.
I added an exception to c:\doc & Settings\unsername\local settings\temp.
That stopped the symantec hitting on the scrserv.exe.
We also put a global exception on the clients to exclude c:\scrserv.exe.
Symantec console was getting hits from the clients whenever I would thumbnail the machine. -
Inappropriate?Hey, thanks for that. This is actually what I ended up doing also, but wasn't too happy with excluding such a common area from all virus activity. I can't see any other way of doing it though.
