Inappropriate?Yea, I'm seeing that, too. Let me look into this and get back with you here. It will likely need a code change and a bug fix release.
-
I believe its because the mstsc command line switch has changed from /console to /admin in sp1. God only knows why! -
Inappropriate?Any word on this issue?
-
Inappropriate?yea, I see where the problem is and it's a tough one. Because it's an embedded activex control that is being used, if we enable the latest version, anyone using VNCScan on an XP box prior to SP3 will have problems but if we keep it the way that it is, users of Vista SP1 and XP SP3 will have problems.
I think that we're going to have to set up a way to conditionally run the embedded control. We're working on this and should have a resolution soon. -
Inappropriate?Music to my ears as I have been living with this issue for some months now and I'm having to switch back to a vista gadget to connect to consoles (which Incidentally had the same problem until we corrected it!)
-
Inappropriate?Still suffering. Nearly at the point of giving up and looking for an alternative product.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?hmmmmmm ... that was supposed to be fixed in the last release. Let me investigate and figure this out. I'm really sorry about making you suffer through this. I completely understand!
-
Thanks Steve. Look forward to a solution soon. It's an excellant product otherwise and I use it extensively in my operations but have to regularly connect to console sessions. -

Hi Steve
Yes I can confirm it's fixed it. Many thanks. -
Hi Steve my colleague has still got the issue with XP SP3! any chance you could look at this please? -
T-ManAstor - has he upgraded to the latest release? -
Hi Steve - Yes thats the 1st thing he he did. He has installed version 2008.10.29. -
Hi Steve - I'm not sure whats going on here but I thought it was working for Vista but it definitely isn't working for me anymore! Either I was mistaken in confirming the fix or it was temporary in some way.
We are now back to square one I'm afraid where it doesnt work for Vista SP1 or XP SP3 now. :( -
Inappropriate?hmmm - it was working and then stopped working?
Is it any different if you set the option in the group properties -vs- the computer properties? -
Hi Steve - I Set the console option in the Group properties and the apply to all computers in the group option and it seems to have re-enabled it again for Vista SP1. I'll get my colleague to try this on his XP SP3 machine. It seems that the group override settings are at fault here then!
