VNC deploy hangs on start /wait ultra106.exe
why isn't there a ultra106.exe being generated when deploying vnc to a workstation, after installing vncscan version 2009.7.20.280?
After selecting Deploy VNC Here, the cmd prompt opens and starts to run throu the script,
it hangs on "c:\windows\system32>start /wait c:\temp\ultra106.exe"
I looked in the c:\temp folder on the workstation and there is no ultra106.exe
I also looked in the VNCscandata\vnc7\ultra and ultra105 no sign of ultra106
how may I correct this?

Inappropriate? Are you deploying to Vista or Windows 7? Try unchecking the option to deploy the video driver. Does this change it?
-
Windows server 2008, unchecking video driver did not fix it -
Inappropriate? That's strange. It suspect that it's prompting for something on the remote system. Do you have access to the remote system to see if there's a dialog bod awaiting some input?
-
yes I have access, No prompt, no Dialog box, -
Inappropriate? Is it possible to reboot that computer and try it again?
-
reboot the workstation I'm working on ro the server I'm trying to deploy to? -
Inappropriate?I was suggesting the computer that you're trying to deploy to. It sounds like there may be a hung process getting in the way.
Before you do that, though, can you look at the c:\temp\vncscan folder on the remote computer to ensure that the ultra106 file is there. If it is, can you please delete it? -
rebooted, there was/is not an ultra106.exe on the remote computer,
Attempted to deploy again, still same symptoms, no joy -
Inappropriate? Is there a file called c:\fastpush\ultra106\ultra106.exe on your computer?

this solves the problem
-
Ahh yes and once I copied that folder over to the network location set in my preferences I was able to set ultra106 in my profile settings as the version to install, and it did deploy. Thank you -
Inappropriate?I am having this issue as well, what exactly did Ramon do to solve this problem? I am confused as to his response
-
I don't use the default locations for my support files so after installing the upgrade venm didn't have access to the ultra106 folder
I copied the contents of the fastpush folder from c:\fastpush to the location I set in preferences > support files > "Location of FastPush script (vnc7.cmd)"
