Wrong version of VNC being deployed even though tightVNC is selected
When I deploy VNC to my test PC, I select TightVNC1.3.9 from the list (which I placed the ver1.3.9 files into as per instructions - also i created the new profile selecting tightvnc139)... proceed through the wizard and it deploys successfully, but UltraVNC is installed? not tightvnc? what's wrong here?
I notice that it uses vnc7.cmd as the fastpush script and I assumed it is fed the choice by the wizard but this doesn't seem to be the case. Is the wizard faulty or the script?
or... am I doing something wrong..
any help appreciated.

Inappropriate?Which instructions were you following?

Inappropriate?Steve Hi,
I basically read the following in the FAQ section, went to TightVNC and downloaded the latest 1.3.9, then copied these files into the C:\fastpush\vnc7\tight139 folder(I cleared & renamed the existing tight128?, i think it was, folder).. then tight139 was offered by the deployment wizard, so I selected it thinking it would push that version? but it didn't?

How can I update my VNC push installs before VNC Scan includes them into the latest build?
The binary files for each supported distribution are located in c:\fastpush\vnc7. Each folder under there represents a distribution of VNC.
Simply download the latest binaries from the owners of each distribution and replace the files in the respective folders.

Inappropriate? The folder still needs to be called tight128. I think that's where things went wrong.
-
Inappropriate? You are right.. changed the folder to tight128 with the 139 binaries in it, and it likes it..
many thanks
AJ
