Inappropriate?I have clicked various links - am trying to customize to reflect our food growing but the system says it assumes we eat a standard diet (which we do not) I can not get around that - its not inuitive -
Inappropriate?Nika, we're dedicating the next month to improving the user experience of the carbon footprint calculator. We agree that it's not currently intuitive enough. As you continue to use the site, the more specific feedback you can provide, the better.
In the meantime, let's get you past this hurdle.
1) Click on the green "Your Footprint" tab at the top of the page.
2) Since you want to edit your diet, which falls under "consumables", let's start by clicking on the "Consumables" link (directly adjacent to the green shopping bag icon)
3) Since you haven't told us anything about your diet yet, we assume it's the diet of an Average American. To change this, click on the "Food" link (found just above the text that says "We're assuming you have a typical diet").
4) Now you want to add your own unique diet to your footprint. So click on the little peapod with the plus sign next to it.
5) You can now answer all of the questions, to tell us specifically about your diet.
