Can we twitter placemark names instead of addresses? Last reply on May 15, 2008 19:06.

Could the name of our placemarks be what is passed to twitter? I don't want the universe knowing my location, but my friends know where my home is and if they want to find locations that I check into they can investigate/ask me.

Your stupid system is spamming my twitter account non-stop with location updates when I haven't sent anything to your system for 30 minutes!!!!! Turn it off! Fix your software!!!

I had to just login and turn off all of the twitter forwarding ... what the heck are you doing!?!?!?!

One more radius setting - 20 km

I know in a country like Belgium we will have fewer users than in certain other countries. So I know there will be few friends around me.
It would be nice if I could widen the 'Nearby notifications' or 'around me' radius to about 20Km, as 4km is not going to give me much of activity.
It would be a nice extra.

Ability to turn of 'state' field

For Belgium (and some other countries in europe as well) it would be handy if you could turn of the 'state' field in a location, as we don't use. We just have city, postcode and country. (Although we use 'province' , google seem to handle them different).
It gives very strange location titles ex.:
Koningsstraat 39, 8400 Oostende, Oostende, Belgium (Koningsstraat 39, Oostende, Vlaams Gewest 8400, BE).

Could be nice for some places, we don't have to display the street itself too, as street is not always relevant (woods, beach, ...)

    Pinpointing on the map itself

It would be very handy if it were possible to put a marker on the map itself instead of having to type an address, drag and drop style.
This would be good for editing locations as well.
It happened to me a street wasn't recognised, and then this function could come in handy.

Editing placemarks Last reply on May 10, 2008 14:21.

It would good to be able to edit placemarks. Currently you can either checkin or delete only.
