Check-in via Twitter Last reply on May 13, 2008 08:35.

I was going to suggest adding the ability to check-in via IM, but then I found this: http://tinyurl.com/6ys3wa

So maybe an alternative would be to send a direct message to a dedicated Twitter account (“d brightkite @home”). That way we could just use Twitter’s Jabber bot, which seems pretty stable.

Brightkite Jabber bot? Last reply on May 13, 2008 03:33.

It would be cool if there was a jabber bot to interact with. Basically another way to access the SMS tools. Without having to pay for SMS.

how can i add a business name to a placemark? Last reply on May 06, 2008 02:50.

if i have set up a placemark for a business on the web, it saves as the address, not the name of the business. is there any way to associate the name of the company with the address?

e.g., http://brightkite.com/objects/734485e... is my gym, but the only way i can figure out how to get a business name to show up is if i do something like "?bally" via sms for a business lookup. not so convenient when all i want to say is @gym, you know?

other than that, great job--can't wait for some sort of phone gps integration ;)

Check in via email Last reply on May 06, 2008 18:36.

I would rather use email to check-in rather than SMS. My iPhone has unlimited internet, but limited SMS.
