People search doesn't seem to work. When I go to http://brightkite.com/people/search and click on the People tab, then search for "barron orr" (for example), I get an error page that says you have been notified of the problem. This is my first time so I don't know if this is a new problem or an old problem. Please advise.
It would make sense to be able to search for people who are often nearby where I am - i.e. other users in my hometown/city (in my case, Anchorage, Alaska).
People obviously shouldn't show up if they're marked as private, but for those who don't mind, like myself, it'd be nice to be able to hook up through brightkite.com (-:
As a best practice, it would be nice if you guys added hcards all over the site, wherever an address or person is mentioned.
Apart from publishing hcards, it'd be cool to allow for importing of hcard addresses. For example, I could paste a Google Maps URL into Brightkite and Brightkite could fetch the hcard(s) from the page to help locate me, or somehow interact with the driving directions, showing me people that I might know in different areas.
In any case, adding hcards seems like a no brainer and something that could be done pretty quickly.
If you're not going to provide a direct search box for people on the Friends page, might I suggest that you default the main triple-search to People? I start typing someone's name in the box to find a friend, and I end up on some person-named place!
