twitter posting not working?

Brightkite is in public mode, I have my Twitter user name and password entered and it's set to post any Brightkite notes to Twitter. A friend of mine on Brightkite has no trouble getting her posts sent to Twitter.

Brightkite isn't creating tweets for me. I've confirmed my twitter credentials are correct and that "When I post a note" is checked, but no updates are being pushed. Brightkite is, however, updating my location, but I didn't think that this was an either/or.

Did I miss something?

On the Account Settings page, on the Sharing tab, BrightKite should prevent me or warn me about entering my Twitter settings if I have my BrightKite set to Private.

Because otherwise I expect it to post what I have checked to my Twitter, and when it does not, I then have to go and search for why it's not working. I did find the answer here, in the Get Satisfaction website, but the way it currently functions seems counter-intuitive.

I hope this comes across as a critique and not as criticism, and I hope it helps to make your product better! (Yay Beta products!)

I can not find my friends on Twitter. Apparently Brite Kite is having problems talking to Twitter. This has been an issue since last evening. When I try to find my twitter friends in britekite, I get the following message.."Sorry, but we had trouble contacting Twitter. Are they slow/down? Maybe try again later..."

well.... whenever i add/upload a picture it's not shown on Twitter, what could this be ?

My posts started getting cross-posted to Twitter this weekend even though they are marked as private. I don't know if this is a bug or changed behavior, but I much prefer being able to control which posts go to twitter. Thanks! -Will

FYI: Cross-posting to twitter still isn't working.

When I post notes via SMS or e-mail (even when photos are attached) random spaces end up in my posts (mostly in the middle of words). It's not really much of a problem as it is an annoyance.

Twitter to Facebook posts are cut off.

i've customized the variables to show »$place - $link«.

My Brightkite posts are no longer getting cross-posted to Twitter, while I see that my Brightkite friends' posts are. Furthermore, those same friends are no longer appearing in my Brightkite stream on the website. I've turned on SMS to see if they come in there, but so far I've received nothing.

my photo updates made through the brightkite web interface don't update to twitter. my privacy is set to public and i'm set to share photo posts to twitter in account settings. iphone email photo posts work though.

posts with pictures often do not update twitter. Sometimes I think it's because I forget to clear the body text in my email, and other times I think it's just a fluke, but I see it happen quite often where I'll post a picture while at a location and that doesn't end up as a tweet.

http://brightkite.com/objects/38606b5... is an example of one that posted to brightkite but never flittered it's way over to... um... twitter.

BK double posted to Twitter this morning. What happened was ping.fm pushed the status update to BK which then posted to Twitter (I have BK set to do that). Five minutes later the same post was posted to Twitter again from BK. It was in BK only once.

when i check in (and people around me) there is a double posting to twitter with my location today.

I have 3 friends posts stuck in a notification loop! I am notified every 15 min of a new post but it is the same post. One post is from Saturday and one is even being submitted over and over to Twitter. I don't want to turn off my email notification, but I think I'm going to have to if this isn't resolved soon.

1) I am not getting the confirmation code
2)BK is not posting to my twitter

Noticed a small thing... when emailing photos and notes to Bkite, Twitter updating works. But when adding photos and notes via the web, Twitter does not update.

I just posted my first photo on Brightkite, and I have my options set so that only photos and location updates are cross-posted to Twitter. However, it didn't happen this time. Is something broken?
