Accounts using Facebook Connect can't be deleted.
I signed up for a new account using Facebook Connect, hoping to be prompted to merge my existing account (as I could see no way to add Facebook authentication to my existing account), there was no such prompt/option so I went to delete my new account...
The deletion option won't allow me to delete unless I provide a password. I don't have a Brightkite password as the account's using Facebook Connect.
Please fix this.

Inappropriate?Very sorry for the confusion. You can set a password by logging in using FB Connect and going to your Account Settings -> Password. Once you save you can go to Account Settings -> Profile and delete your account.

Inappropriate?Yes, I realise this. I don't see how it resolves the problem.
Sure, it allows the account to be removed, but it's not in line with user expectations, and doesn't improve the user experience. The whole point of federated authentication is to do away with excess passwords, needing to create a password just to delete the account is ridiculous.
Surely it's not that hard to see if the account has a valid password, and if not, simply prompt the user to type "yes" (or similar) in the box?
This IS a problem, please fix it.
I’m still disappointed.

Inappropriate? We do have some solutions planned for this, but we just haven't had the time to work on them yet. Once the SXSW chaos has died down we will have a chance to address this problem.
I’m confident
