Add placemarks in advance
It would be nice if I could add placemarks in advance of visiting them for the first time.

I don't work at BrightKite, but have done this several times myself (setting up friends and relatives addresses and multiple work site addresses) all in advance of checking in at the placemarks.
You have to search at the top of the page for "Places" and then when it finds the location, in the upper right corner, you'll see "Check in here" and just below that "Add to Placemarks"
