Auto-nudge
I think it would be a a great feature if my account prompted me to "check-in" if I haven't checked-in after a certain specifiable time frame. Similar to the way twitter has "Auto-nudge". I can see that we have the ability to prompt our friends but I'd rather rely on Brightkite than on my friends to remind me.

Inappropriate?I like the idea of automatically nagging people (opt in of course) who obviously don't have the right location in (no movement in, say, 24 hours is rare). Sort of helps engagement? Definitely just a theory. Of course, cautionary tale of listening to users.
