BrightKite - Facebook Access Control Issues

I want to use Brightkite with Facebook. Right now, I have my BrightKite settings to private because I want to share only with friends and because of this, I can't post to Facebook. I find this odd because I am authorizing BrightKite to post to Facebook. Under such circumstances, they should be able to do it even when my BrightKite privacy settings are set to private. Why can't I share my location using Brightkite to my BK friends and FB friends only instead of sharing it to everyone on BK in order to share to just my friends on FB. Please consider changing the way access control is implemented. Thanks.
